St. Johns Camera Club - April Exhibit & Speaker
Whether you are a novice, professional, or just enjoy the beauty of photography, you will love this showing! The St. Johns Camera Club will display their talent April 3 – 28th at the Clinton County Arts Gallery.
Artists show their own unique vision of a scene, which provokes a reaction from us. Unlike any other visual image, a photograph is not a rendering, an imitation or an interpretation of its subject, but actually a trace of it. No painting or drawing, however naturalist, belongs to its subject in the way that a photograph does.
The mission of the St. Johns Camera Club is to explore and promote creativity through photography. Their current membership consists of about 30 photographers from mid-Michigan. Young to old, novice to professional; they all love to share their passion for photography. Come see what they’re all about!
A reception will be held on Saturday, April 28, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Clinton County Art Gallery. Speaker, Bob Sheap, will begin at 3:00pm with a slide show presentation of Montenegro, put to music. The reception would be open to the public as well. Bob Sheap spoke at last year’s event as well and is looking forward to returning!
